This was taken at Fort Knox in Prospect, Maine. I love the architectural features in this fort. It also has somewhat of a haunting past, was featured on Ghosthunters and every halloween they have this big ghost haunting festival. Too spooky for me, but alot of folks attend.
Here is a little history about Fort Knox.......Maine was repeatedly involved in northeast border disputes with British Canada, and the area between Castine and the rich lumber city of Bangor was invaded and occupied by the British during the American Revolution and the War of 1812. Despite the Webster-Ashburton Treaty of 1842, Fort Knox was established in 1844 to protect the Penobscot River valley against a possible future British naval incursion.
The Fort was designed by Chief Engineer Joseph Totten with a number of other engineers serving as fortknoxsuperintendents of construction from 1844 - 1869, among them Isaac Ingalls Stevens and Thomas L. Casey. The Fort was named for Major General Hen...
You know writing a bio or an about page can be quite daunting! I mean they want you to talk about yourself and what you do and why. Sometimes that's easier said than done. So here it is......I'm a photographer who loves photographing still life (with a vintage twist), floral and a hint of nature.
