This is the largest to date fluid art painting I've created. An 18x24 and I have to say I was very intimidated by the size and if I had enough paint to cover the canvas. But I put aside any intimidation and went for it. I poured the dirty pour consisting of metallic purple, black, red and white on the canvas and started spinning it around and around on the turn table that I made, which was super easy to make.

Making My Own Backgrounds

I've recently taken a workshop on how to create my own backgrounds. The workshop was through 2 Lil Owls. An amazing workshop that has really helped me in getting the backgrounds I need to create my still stories. The toughest part is figuring out what I need and how often will I use it. So I've tried to create several different backgrounds with different stencils and neutral colors.

Mini Gerbera Daisies Project

Every still life story starts with a basic idea. Most of my stories start with #flowers. I love flowers and whenever I can incorporate them I will whether they are the story or a prop in the story. I head to my local market pick up a variety of flowers. Then I decide if the story is going to be about the flower or will they be just a part of the story. I take a look at all my props and see what story develops.

This is one of my first fluid art paintings. I was trying out a tree ring pour using metallic gold, red and black. I love the way this painting turned out. It looks almost 3 dimensional. It looks better in person!
